Silverwolf Records
Murray Krugman
Silverwolf began in 1991 by founder,
Murray Krugman. The vision of the label was and continues to be to
foster a creative environment where singer-songwriters and folk
musicians can create, record, and package the finest albums available to
the music lover.
While Murray has produced many high
profile recordings (Johnny Winter, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Blue Oyster
Cult, Dictators), the vision of the label calls for high quality
production where the right producer is the person for the right project.
Collaborative relationships are sought between artist and label whereby
the label is able to empower the artist in whatever manner is possible
to help the artist realize his or her vision. In the case of Josh White
Jr., that might be assisting with packaging and the mastering of the
album. With Michael Veitch, that is producing the album and direction of
the artwork regarding the packaging.
Silverwolf releases no more than two or so albums a month so artists can
be followed as they tour in promotion of their product. The vision of
the label is to continue to compile the finest recordings possible in
the folk singer-songwriter milieu.
